Double-Digit Wins Expected

Double-digit wins are in the cards for Penn State as a record of 10-2 (+215, 31.7% chance) is the favorite. A record of 11-1 (+265, 27.4%) is a close second. Since head coach James Franklin took over the helm at State College in 2014, the Nittany Lions have hit the 11-win mark four times (2016, 2017, 2019, 2022) in his tenure.

An undefeated record of 12-0 (+500, 16.7%) sits fourth. The last time Penn State went 12-0 was 1994 under famed head coach Joe Paterno en route to a 38-20 victory over Oregon in the Rose Bowl.

A record of 9-3 (+450, 18.2%) rounds out the top three and 8-4 (+700, 12.5%) completes the top five. Other comes in at +2500 (3.8%).

In the Big Ten preseason rankings, Penn State was ranked third in the East with two first-place votes, behind No. 2 Ohio State (8 first-place votes) and No. 1 Michigan (27).
