There’s a new QB in Pittsburgh, and the Steelers are hoping he’s the spark they need to make a Super Bowl push. After finishing 10-7 and falling to the Ravens in the Wild-Card round last season, Pittsburgh shook things up, bringing in veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver D.K. Metcalf to boost the offense. Training camp kicked off on July 23, and the revamped roster is trying to mesh as the season comes together. Ahead of the season, the Steelers have a 2.78% chance to win the Super Bowl, based on odds from DraftKings.

We’ll be tracking the Steelers' odds to win the Super Bowl all year as Pittsburgh looks to climb back into the contender conversation.

The Steelers' playoff chances suggest Pittsburgh has a real shot at making the postseason, but keep in mind, these odds will shift throughout the 2025-26 season and may vary by sportsbook.

What are the Steelers Odds to Win Super Bowl 60?

The Steelers' odds to win the Super Bowl sit at +3500 across most Pennsylvania sportsbooks. That puts them right in the middle of the pack heading into the 2025-26 season. The Eagles, Ravens, and Bills currently have the best odds, but things can shift fast once the season kicks off. With Aaron Rodgers now in Pittsburgh and new weapons like DK Metcalf on board, the Steelers have the potential to climb. If this team starts hot, don’t be surprised to see those odds move.

Steelers Super Bowl Odds vs. AFC North

Before the start of the season, the Steelers had the third-longest Super Bowl odds among the AFC North. Currently, the Ravens and Bengals have better odds.

  • Baltimore Ravens: +600
  • Cincinnati Bengals: +2200
  • Pittsburgh Steelers: +3500
  • Cleveland Browns: +30000

As for Pittsburgh's odds to win the AFC North, they have the third-shortest odds out of the division as well, not surprising given how tough the AFC North is. The Ravens won the division and made a deep playoff run last season, while the Bengals, despite missing the postseason, still have one of the league’s top quarterbacks leading a strong roster. As for the Browns, they could surprise us all and be a wild card this year with a new QB under center.

Key Contributors Toward Steelers Super Bowl Odds

While many questioned Mike Tomlin’s decision to bench Justin Fields in favor of Russell Wilson, the move ultimately paid off with a trip to the playoffs. The Steelers' postseason run was cut short by a wild-card loss to the Ravens, but the team showed some promise heading into 2025.

Pittsburgh has been active this offseason, addressing several key needs. The Steelers signed QB Aaron Rodgers to lead the offense. As for the quarterbacks' weapons, the Steelers added WR DK Metcalf but parted ways with George Pickens. After RB Najee Harris went to the Chargers, the Steelers signed RB Kenneth Gainwell and Trey Sermon, along with drafting running back Kaleb Johnson from Iowa.

Defensively, there isn't much to say. This unit has been one of the best across the league for several seasons, and things most likely won't change. With T.J. Watt wreaking havoc and Joey Porter Jr. growing in his second season in the big leagues, the defense sets the tone. The additions of Darius Slay, Juan Thornhill, and Brandon Echols will only strengthen the defense.

Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl 60 Outlook and Predictions

Despite making the playoffs last season, it’s still hard to feel fully confident in the Steelers as true Super Bowl contenders. Years of postseason letdowns have tempered expectations, but the first half of the 2025 season should give us a clearer sense of how real this team is. Along with a full slate of AFC North battles, Pittsburgh also faces tough non-division matchups against the Lions and Bills.

There’s no question the Steelers made major moves this offseason. Aaron Rodgers is now under center, leading a retooled offense that includes DK Metcalf, Pat Freiermuth, Kenneth Gainwell, and Jaylen Warren. On the other side of the ball, the defense was already a strength and looks even deeper thanks to a handful of new additions. The pieces are in place, but whether it all comes together in time for a real Super Bowl run remains to be seen.

Steelers Super Bowl History

The Steelers were founded in 1933 and stand as one of the NFL’s flagship franchises, boasting six Super Bowl victories. The only other team to match that total is the New England Patriots.

Pittsburgh won its first Super Bowl in 1975, kicking off a dominant run that included four titles in six years under Hall of Fame coach Chuck Noll. The Steelers also claimed Super Bowl XL in 2006 with coach Bill Cowher and Super Bowl XLIII in 2009 under current head coach Mike Tomlin. They fell short in Super Bowls against the Cowboys in 1996 and the Packers in 2011.

The Steelers are one of just three teams to have appeared in eight Super Bowls, joining the Cowboys and Broncos, with only the Patriots having more appearances.

Have the Steelers Ever Won the Super Bowl?

Yes, the Steelers claimed Super Bowl victories in IX, X, XIII, XIV, XL, and XLIII. Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw earned MVP honors in Super Bowls XIII and XIV. Wide receivers Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes each took home Super Bowl MVP awards in XL and XLIII, respectively, making them two of only eight receivers in NFL history to earn that distinction. Mike Tomlin became the third head coach in Steelers history to win a Super Bowl when he led the team to a 27-23 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII.

How Many Super Bowls Have the Pittsburgh Steelers Won?

The following year, receiver Lynn Swann was the MVP of Super Bowl X while quarterback Terry Bradshaw won the award for his sterling performances in Super Bowls XIII and XIV against the Cowboys and Rams. Harris, Swann, and Bradshaw are in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Steelers went 15 years between Super Bowl appearances and lost Super Bowl XXX when quarterback Neil O'Donnell threw two interceptions to Cowboys cornerback Larry Brown. The Steelers returned to the Super Bowl 15 years later and beat the Seahawks behind a stifling defensive performance in a 21-10 win. Three years later, current coach Mike Tomlin won his only Super Bowl after quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw a touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes with 42 seconds left in Super Bowl XLIII. Holmes was awarded MVP for his performance in the game.
