New Branded 76ers Games by BetMGM Add to Pa. Gaming Options

As more and more professional teams look to attract new fans, seeking innovative ways to market their brand over many platforms, casino-themed games have been one avenue to pursue.

That trend continued, this time in Pennsylvania gaming, as BetMGM announced Thursday the launch of Philadelphia 76ers Blackjack and Roulette. Both games will use the branding and color schemes of the company’s first NBA team partner.

The two are the first Philadelphia-themed games produced by BetMGM sportsbook PA, but their overall team number is now four.

BetMGM created similar games for three NFL teams: the Detroit Lions (blackjack, roulette), New York Jets (blackjack, roulette, slingo) and Pittsburgh Steelers (blackjack, roulette).

BetMGM became an official gaming partner of the 76ers in December 2020.

There is more to the partnership than BetMGM PA Bonuses. The agreement also focuses on campaigns and promotions geared toward digital fan engagement. BetMGM also will be prominently featured on in-arena signage at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia and across the team’s social and digital platforms.

“We are proud to broaden our partnership with the 76ers, a historic NBA franchise, through the introduction of these new branded roulette and blackjack games,” Oliver Bartlett, the director of gaming at BetMGM, said in a news release. “These games are great additions to BetMGM’s ever growing casino offerings in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.”

What the Games Look Like

76ers Roulette features realistic animations, additional neighbor section bets, and a full results interface. 76ers Blackjack allows gameplay in up to five seats and includes popular side bets.

Players experience being seated in a 3-D suite at the Wells Fargo Center. Both 76ers Blackjack and 76ers Roulette were developed by Evolution, BetMGM’s live dealer partner. By pressing a “go live” button, players are taken out of their suite, on to the court and directly into the live version of the game they were playing.

“BetMGM has been an incredible partner over the last two seasons, and we’re excited to showcase our growing collaborations with the introduction of 76ers Roulette and Blackjack,” Owen Morin, the Sixers’ senior vice president for corporate partnerships, said in the release. “We know that these new, innovative offerings will be a big hit with 76ers fans throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.”

Both of the 76ers games are available at BetMGM Casino, Borgata Online Casino PA and Party Casino in New Jersey and BetMGM Casino and Borgata Casino in Pennsylvania.

Strong MVP candidate Joel Embiid will represent the Sixers at this weekend’s NBA All-Star Weekend in Cleveland.

The 76ers (34-23) have one more game before the break as they visit the Milwaukee Bucks (36-23) Thursday night in a key Eastern Conference tilt with both teams in the mix battling for the top seed.

The game is on TNT at 8:30 p.m. ET.

The even bigger news for Philadelphia is the acquisition of All-Star guard James Harden at the trade deadline from the Brooklyn Nets. The Sixers exercised extra caution with Harden coming back from a hamstring injury and will not play him until after the break.
