Sports Betting Amenities Getting Big Upgrade at Live! Casino Pittsburgh

What a difference a year makes for one Pennsylvania gambling mainstay.

It was just last November that the $150 million Live! Casino Pittsburgh debuted in Hempfield Township.

And PennStakes.com covered the one-year anniversary of Live! just last month.

Now, 13 months from its debut, the casino announced it is expanding its Pennsylvania sports betting, gaming and entertainment offerings.

The additions follow the recent announcement of its entertainment facility releasing in its first year $135 million in economic impact investments.

Must be 21+ to participate. T&Cs apply.

So, What’s New?

The new offerings include:

  • The FanDuel sportsbook PA FanCave
  • An Events Center
  • New menu items.
  • A poker room
  • A High-Limit room with 18 more slot machines and 20 new Electronic Gaming Tables (EGTs)

“These exciting new additions to Live! Casino highlight just how much we are growing and thriving in Westmoreland County,”  casino general manager Sean Sullivan said in a news release. “We continue to listen to the needs of our guests while building on our reputation as a world-class gaming and entertainment destination. We think our guests will be excited for all the new offerings at Live! Casino.”

Closer Look at Live! Casino Upgrades

Here is a breakdown of the new expansions and upgrades:

The FanDuel FanCave is on the second floor of the casino. It still will offer its FanDuel Sportsbook self-service betting kiosks. The redesigned 826-square-foot space also will be a fun place to watch all sporting events in a lounge with 13 leather recliners and a 173” High-Definition TV. It can be reserved for special events and also is open to the public.

Live! Casino will be opening a new event center, which is also on the second floor of the entertainment facility. The 7,000 square-foot room will be used for weddings, private parties and special events, including entertainment acts.

The casino has two on-site restaurants, Guy Fieri’s American Kitchen and Sports & Social Steel City. Each will be offering new menu items this month.

The designated poker room is a transformation of the original banquet room on its second floor. It will be a 1,500-square-foot designated poker room that will have seven  new table games.

The aim is for that to be open by Dec. 20, pending Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) approval.

The high-limit room is scheduled to be open by Dec. 23, again pending PGCB approval. Six EGTs will be inside the main casino bar and 14 outside the bar. Also, patrons can play Online Roulette PA and Blackjack on these terminals with a live dealer.

The casino is owned by The Cordish Companies, which also opened Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia Jan. 19 of this year. That casino is right beside the stadium complex (Citizens Bank Park, Lincoln Financial Field and the Wells Fargo Center) in Philadelphia.

Live! Philadelphia also has a FanDuel sportsbook.
