Philadelphia Stars Prepare for USFL Playoffs in Pa. Sports Betting

With the last week of the regular season taking place this weekend, Pennsylvania bettors can prepare for the upcoming USFL Playoffs, which are already set for June 25 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.

The second-seeded Philadelphia Stars (6-3) will face the top-seeded New Jersey Generals (8-1) in the North Semifinal (FOX, 3 p.m.). In the second game and South Semifinal, the second-seeded New Orleans Breakers (6-3) will face the top-seeded Birmingham Stallions (8-1) at (NBC, 8 p.m.).

Both winners will advance to the USFL Championship Game on Sunday, July 3 at 7:30 p.m. ET (FOX).

As of Thursday, DraftKings has posted future winners for the USFL Championship with the Stallions listed as the favorite at +175 followed by the Generals (+200), Breakers (+380) and Stars (+400).

North: New Jersey Generals vs. Philadelphia Stars

Ironically, the Generals and Stars meet in the last regular season game on Saturday at 12 p.m. Expect both teams to play it close to the vest with the playoff matchup a week later.

The Generals are listed as a 2.5-point and -140 moneyline favorite at DraftKings. The Stars are +120 moneyline underdog with the over/under total listed at 41.5 points. 
 
The Generals upended the Stars, 24-16, in Week 3.

South: Birmingham Stallions vs. New Orleans Breakers

In its final regular season game, the Stallions will take on the Tampa Bay Bandits Saturday at 4 p.m. The Stallions are a 3.5-point and -155 moneyline favorite over at DraftKings. The Bandits are a +135 moneyline underdog with the over/under total points at 40.5. 
 
The Breakers are also a 3.5-point and -160 moneyline favorite over the Houston Gamblers Sunday at 8:30 p.m. The Gamblers are a +140 moneyline underdog with the over/under total points at 41 posted at DraftKings.

Heading into next weekend’s semifinal, the Stallions swept the season series with the Breakers, winning 22-13 in Week 3 and 10-9 in Week 8.

May Revenue Numbers Are In

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced Thursday that the combined total revenue generated by all forms of gaming in the state for the month of May was $447.79 million.

That is an 8.38% increase when compared to May of 2021.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National led the way with $62.8 million, followed by Parx Casino ($57.5 million) and Valley Forge Casino Resort (almost $52.8 million).
