The Philadelphia 76ers have a new partner in their quest for an NBA championship this season. PokerStars announced Wednesday a one-year agreement with the 76ers, expanding their offerings for current players at PokerStars Casino PA with new promotions in the Philadelphia and North America regions.

“We are extremely proud and excited to continue to build relationships with iconic sports teams in North America,” Rob Batista, PokerStars North America Senior Director, Marketing, said in a news release. “The United States and North America continue to grow as a key market for PokerStars, and we look forward to rewarding our Pennsylvania-based community, as well as those across the rest of the United States, with even more epic experiences in conjunction with the Philadelphia 76ers.”

What PA Online Poker Players Will See

The partnership will see the addition of monthly freerolls on the PokerStars site for PA online poker players during the basketball season. This gives PokerStars players and Sixers fans the chance to win game tickets, merchandise, and PokerStars credit.

“As one of the most storied franchises in the National Basketball Association (NBA), the Philadelphia 76ers are a staple sports team in the key market of Pennsylvania, and PokerStars looks forward to aligning with the team and working together to build some spectacular experiences for players,” Batista said. PokerStars will bring the partnership to life with in-stadium branding as well as plenty of in-game experiences available for fans.”

In recent years, PokerStars has not only been busy with its offerings in the Pennsylvania online casinos market, but also has had numerous sports partnerships with the NHL’s Detroit Red Wings, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE) and Oracle Red Bull Racing.

“We are thrilled about our new partnership with PokerStars, aimed to elevate our fan’s experience during this season,” Owen Morin, 76ers SVP Corporate Partnerships, said in the release. “We believe in creating a unique and innovative approach to engage with our fans, and PokerStars will allow us to craft those special and memorable experiences.”

Philadelphia 76ers Off To Hot Start

Currently tied with the Boston Celtics for the top seed in the Eastern Conference, Philadelphia (8-2, .800) is off to a flying start. Those backing the team using Pennsylvania betting promotions have mostly been rewarded thus far.

The Sixers play host to Atlantic Division foe Boston tonight at 7:30 p.m. (ESPN). At the newly launched ESPN BET Sportsbook, Philadelphia is a 4-point, +145 moneyline underdog tonight against the Celtics (-175), with the game’s over/under total at 224.5 points.

On their ESPN BET futures market, the Sixers are the sixth favorite to win the NBA title at +1400, the third favorite to win the Eastern Conference at +600 and the second favorite (+275) to win the Atlantic Division behind, you guessed it, Boston (-280).

That rebranded ESPN BET Pennsylvania Sportsbook launched this week amid much fanfare as a result of the sports media company’s partnership with Pennsylvania-based PENN Entertainment.
