Fanatics Sportsbook and Casino Launches in Pennsylvania
Fact Checked by Pat McLoone

With early NFL Wild Card Playoff exits for the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers last week, customers of Pennsylvania sports betting are turning their attention to new avenues. Here is an option.

New York-based Fanatics launched the Fanatics Sportsbook and Casino Monday in Pennsylvania. Fanatics will have a soft launch for 48 hours under the supervision of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB). There will be no restrictions regarding customer signups or playtime on both platforms as PointsBet accounts have been migrated over to Fanatics Sportsbook PA. Each PointsBet customer’s username, password, account balance, rewards points and responsible gaming settings automatically will be migrated to Fanatics.

As part of state launch, Fanatics Betting and Gaming is debuting its new PA online casino within the Fanatics Sportsbook app. The newly designed Fanatics Casino will feature a range of classic and popular casino games such as roulette, slots and blackjack, along with offering customers new features.

According to Fanatics, the official first bet placed in the state on Fanatics Sportsbook was a $5 Four-Leg Same Game Parlay for tonight's NBA matchup of the San Antonio Spurs at the Philadelphia 76ers.

  • Joel Embiid Alt Points +34.5 (-130) and Alt. Rebounds +13.5 (+110)
  • Victor Wembanyama Alt Points +24.5 (+140) and Alt Rebounds +9.5 (-105)

Growing Keeps Going for Fanatics

There are 12 live PA sportsbook apps. This is the 11th state for Fanatics Sportsbook (Colorado, Connecticut, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia) and the second state for Fanatics Casino (Pennsylvania, West Virginia).

Fanatics Sportsbook has 13 retail locations, including retail sportsbooks outside of Progressive Field (Cleveland) and Nationwide Arena (Columbus) in Ohio, and the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium at FedExField (Maryland).

In August 2023, Fanatics Betting and Gaming acquired PointsBet’s operations in the United States and began the migration of PointsBet customers to the Fanatics Sportsbook mobile app.

Fanatics chose Pennsylvania for its casino business as the state is one of only a handful that has iGaming. PennStakes.com supplements a casino player’s experience by providing info on the best PA casino bonuses.
