Backup QB Nick Foles out-dueled arguably the greatest QB of all time in Tom Brady. The famous "Philly Special" came out of this game when HC Doug Pederson called a trick play with 34 seconds left in the first half that resulted in Foles catching a TD pass from TE Trey Burton. The Eagles won and beat the spread outright despite being +4.5 underdogs. Foles went on to win Super Bowl MVP thanks to his 373 passing yards, three passing TDs, and a receiving TD. 

The Eagles made it back to the Super Bowl to face off against their former head coach, Andy Reid, and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs won a high-scoring affair 38-35. The Eagles lost outright despite closing as a -1 favorite.

The Eagles earned their second ring when they again battled Reid and the Chiefs. This time, the Eagles prevailed, routing the Chiefs 40-22.
