Pittsburgh Steelers Playoff Chances: Tracking Steelers Odds To Make The NFL Playoffs

Calli Varner Profile Picture

The Steelers' road back to the playoffs in the 2025-26 season won't be easy. But Pittsburgh's roster has seen significant changes this offseason, most notably, the addition of QB Aaron Rodgers and WR DK Metcalf, but parted ways with George Pickens. Since we are still months out from the start of the season, we could see even more changes to the Steelers' lineup.

As of now, Pittsburgh has a 43.5% chance of making the playoffs in 2025; these odds have slightly improved since the signing of Rodgers. So, how will the Steelers' playoff chances change throughout the season? I'll be tracking the Steelers' postseason betting markets all year long.

Steelers Playoff Picture

The Steelers' new offense is hoping to make it to the playoffs in 2025 with Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers as QB1. Pittsburgh added versatility to its offense with the signings of RB Kenneth Gainwell and WR DK Metcalf. We expect these additions to bolster the offense, but it might not be enough to reach the playoffs.

The defense is the backbone of the team, being one of the best units across the league with T.J. Watt and Joey Porter Jr. We expect Pittsburgh's defense to only get stronger in the upcoming season after adding depth through free agency and the draft.

Steelers Postseason Outlook and Predictions

Just making the playoffs isn't enough to keep Steeler Nation satisfied. Unfortunately, despite the success in the 2024-25 season, it's difficult to feel confident in the Steelers' prospects of winning the Super Bowl. Pittsburgh added Aaron Rodgers to lead the offense and added some weapons this offseason with the signings of WR DK Metcalf and RB Kenneth Gainwell, but parted ways with WR George Pickens.

Pittsburgh worked on adding depth to its defense in free agency and the draft with the additions of Brandon Echols, Darius Slay, Juan Thornhill, and Derrick Harmon. The Steelers are expected to have a competitive squad, but will it be enough to reach the playoffs again?
