The Pittsburgh Steelers training camp is set to begin when both rookies and veterans report on July 23. Practice begins on July 24 with four practices being helmets only before the players put pads on for the first time. Pittsburgh has their sights set on overcoming their playoff odds but first they'll need to put the practice in.
Below is the full list of Steelers training camp dates for 2025.
It's a fresh slate for all Steelers fans with their favorite squad starting training camp this month. Few teams made bigger splashes in the offseason than Pittsburgh, acquiring multiple talents and personalities that'll, at the very least, make for an exciting season.
Most sportsbooks like the bet365 PA sportsbook don't have high expectations in what some of the newcomers can bring to the team. These few guys will have something to say about that:
Aaron Rodgers
All eyes are going to be on Aaron Rodgers through Steelers training camp, and rightfully so. The Steelers offense has lacked consistent output since Ben Roethlisberger retired but general manager Omar Khan believed enough in the 41-year old quarterback to take a shot.
How much will Rodgers influence the Steelers' Super Bowl odds? Well, leading into training camp, not much as the Steelers' odds didn't shift much at all following Rodgers signing. If he can stay healthy, however, and keep Arthur Smith's offense flowing efficiently, head coach Mike Tomlin should be able to manage the diverse personalities that always seem to come to the forefront in the Steel City.
DK Metcalf
One of the more exciting acquisitions over the NFL offseason was the Steelers trading for WR DK Metcalf. While the deal looked great back in the spring, now with Rodgers slinging the ball around the expectations for Metcalf are as high as ever.
Only time will tell if Metcalf and Rodgers are either a good or toxic fit for one another. Training camp will be a good first test how in tune the pair are ahead of some exhibition games coming up in August.
Jalen Ramsey
The Steelers made a late-June trade for CB Jalen Ramsey. Like the aforementioned veterans joining the Steelers organization, Ramsey will first get to prove his worth to the new fan base in training camp. Has the former all pro lost a step or can he bring consistency to the Pittsburgh defense?
Don't expect to see a whole lot of Ramsey prior to the 2025 season starting. With a $26m+ price tag and losing an all-pro safety in Minkah Fitzpatrick in return for his services, the Steelers will want Ramsey as healthy as possible for Sundays this fall.
